Process Details
You use the RoutCad software to design the contour, shape, or 3D objects of your choice.
The RoutCad download only has the very basic features, it can't be used for precise object creation or designing
complex objects. It is highly recommended to purchase the RoutCad V1.0 Full Version. When you purchase the RoutCad V1.0 full
version you have access to the full features, plus a complete parts and shape libraries , plus multi language selection and the complete user guide in English,
French, and Spanish. Once you have created your design, you transmit your design and make payment over the internet. The data you
send and your personnal information is incrypted. You can also send us your design by e-mail or regular mail 3.5 " disckette and make payment by calling us.
Production Process
Once your design is received. Your file is entered in the machining system and your credit card is charges. If you have provided your e-mail
address a confirmation is sent to inform you that your design in the machining process. The design you sent will be machine with the
material, thickness, and colour that you've specified. The cost is function of the material type, work area, thickness, colour, machining time, thread selection
and final piece clean up. All these options are selectable using the RoutCad software. When using the RoutCad software, you can design : contour,
shapes and 3D objects. The contour is a design that you create in a support material and which remains with the support material. The shape is a
close form object that is separated from the support material. The 3D object is a combination of contour and shapes that are imbricked in each other.
The RoutCad V1.0 give full explanation with example on how to create : contour, shapes and 3D objects. It is important
to undestand that a contour can't be separated from the support material. If your design is a contour you must select the, standard material size
available, you can only select a custom worksize when your design is a shape that can be removed from the material. If you make a contour in
a custom size, the whole sheet will be send to you and the cost that will be charge will be higher because of the extra material used. Also during
the machining process the location were the machining start, this is object 1 to be routed in the RoutCad software will have a small sharp edge due to
the piece disconnecting from the support material. It is important in the routCad software to start your maching where
the shape is continuous say a the begining of a straight line. It is also very important to select the send and clean option
so that the small rought protrusion is removed and the entire part is send and clean before delivery. If your machining start
at a location where you have created a feature on your shape, the feature might not be as expected. The RoutCad V1.0 Full Version, fully document
how avoide this problem. In your design if you do not that this into consideration the shape that you receive will have defect
and might not be as expected. When submitting a design with a high quantity, it is highly recommended to order 1 or 2 units, to ensure that your
design is as expected, before ordering a larger quantity.
Delivery Time
Once your design is received you have to allow 5 business days for manufacturing, and 10 business days for delivery. If the material, colour, thickness is not in stock the time to
received your design might be longer. The amout charge to your credit card usually include shipping. If the quantity is larger than the limit for
the shipping you've purchase your credit card will be charge a the differenec to cover for the extra weight or size of shipping when ordering larger quantity.
Machining Precision
The machining system can be precise up to 0.001". The drill itselsef is 0.125" +-. In general precision is very goog. You've to ensure
that your design is what you want. The red line in RoutCad that are thick is what is being machine. Be aware to look at the
gray this is what will be left "the materel", in oder word the thich red line is removed by the machining drill. Once you chose the custom size,
the size that can be machined is 0.5 less on all size to allow clamping of the sheet, this 0.5" is already taking into RoutCad. This is explained in complete
details in the RoutCad V1.0 Full Release Version.
Limited Warranty
There is no explicit warranty on the shape, form, 3d objects you design. The manufacturer declain any liabilities or responsibility in
the use that the user make of the shape. Furthermore the user take full responsibilty of any defect or unexpected result of the shape.
If any defect occurs during the machining wheither due by a mistake in the design or any other mistake. The manufacturer can not be held responsible.
License Agreement
This software is copyrighted. RoutCAD is trademarked. The software license you are purchasing is for the purchaser’s use only on a single hardware support device (hard disk of a PC). It is strictly forbidden to resell this software. It is also forbidden to reuse an engineering copy of this software (except for a backup copy). This software is copyrighted and remains the sole property of the author. Although this software has been designed with diligence and thoroughly tested, it may contain bugs or errors. By accepting this license agreement, you accept to abandon any right to sue or take the author of this software to court.
This software can be used to design prototype shapes and form this shape. This software is exported for general commercial use. It is prohibited by law to use this software to make parts of components that can be used in military equipment or be militarized. By accepting this license agreement, you agree that 6704239 Canada Ltd. is not liable for any consequent parts, components and usage.
6704329 Canada Ltd. declines any responsibility in the usage of such component parts. Furthermore, the manufacturing system is still in development; therefore, there is a chance that the parts and components may contain some anomalies for which 6704329 Canada Ltd. is not liable. 6704329 Canada Ltd. also reserves the right to abstain from any liability for damages pertaining to the parts produced.
This software is not exported to or sold to the following countries: Afghanistan, Iraq… It is forbidden by Canadian law and International treaties to export or sell this software in any of the aforementioned countries.
