Step 1 : "Measure the size of the Hole to be Covered"

Using a measuring tape or a ruller, measure the width and the height of the hole that you want to cover. Also measure the thickness of the drywall or wall. Most drywall (Sheetrock/ Gypsum) panel have a thickness of 1/2" or 5/8". note : If the hole is circular measure the diameter of the hole instead of the width and height.
